About CU Anschutz Digital Collections:

CU Anschutz Digital Collections is an open access institutional repository created to centralize and showcase the research, creative scholarship, and history of the University of Colorado Anschutz and its affiliates. The repository complements traditional means of scholarly communication, such as peer-reviewed journals, by expanding the availability of scholarly research. The repository also hosts select archival and historical materials to support teaching and research. Digital Collections is managed by staff at the Strauss Health Sciences Library and is hosted by a third party, Ubiquity Repositories. 

The mission of CU Anschutz Digital Collections is to:

  • Foster understanding and appreciation of the value of research, learning, and teaching at CU Anschutz
  • Demonstrates the breadth, quality, and scope of research and scholarly activities through CU Anschutz
  • Support the rapid dissemination of research and ensure reliable access to intellectual assets worldwide
  • Identify and support best practices and strategies for the digital preservation of historically significant research and scholarship
  • Deliver value for the investments made by Colorado citizens, the US Federal Government, as well as public and private granting agencies supporting scholarly activities at CU Anschutz

 

Resource Types Deposited into CU Anschutz Digital Collections:

In general, we accept works that are scholarly, educational, research-based, and of enduring value. Works must follow copyright policies, be whole and complete, and be shareable in certain common file formats. Last but not least, the submitter must ensure the work is digitally accessible for users with disabilities. Please see the deposit agreement for more details on our policies. Examples of acceptable submissions include:

  • Published faculty research (as copyright permits)  
  • Technical reports, professional papers, working papers  
  • Conference publications, including posters and presentations  
  • Book chapters and book reviews  
  • Theses and dissertations  
  • Open educational resources (OER)  
  • Research datasets that include appropriate documentation (e.g. a README file) explaining how the datasets can be reused. Please see our LibGuide on FAIR guidelines for datasets.
  • Some graduate-level research (please see our policy on student work for more information)
