An integral part of the Florence G. Strauss-Leonard A. Wisneski Indigenous & Integrative Health Collection is the Strauss Committee. Comprised of health practitioners, researchers, educators, and librarians from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus and larger integrative and indigenous health networks, the goal of the committee is to inform the community of integrative whole-person health practices and indigenous, culturally based therapies from around the world.
Specific activities that committee members are involved with include:
- Advising on the direction and mission of the collection.
- Suggesting and reviewing books and other resources for the collection.
- Planning the Strauss Lectures series and other related educational events.
- Keeping the library informed about the most current practices or trends in the field.
If you would like to nominate yourself or another individual for the committee, please complete the Strauss Committee Nomination Form.
