Second Floor Map Details

Elevators

  • North Elevator - Located in the northeast section of the Strauss Library, 2nd Floor.
  • South Elevator - Located in the southeast section of the Strauss Library, 2nd Floor.

Stairs

  • Main staircase – Located in the center of the library, it can be accessed at the north end of the Strauss Library, 2nd Floor.
  • Spiral stairs - located in the south section of the Strauss Library, 2nd Floor.

Emergency Exits

There are three Emergency Exits on the second floor of the Strauss Library. One in the southeast corner, one in the northeast corner, and one in the west section of the building close to the InWorks offices.

Restrooms

Men and women’s restrooms are located in the northeast and southeast sections of the Strauss Library, 2nd Floor.

Study Rooms

There are study rooms available for single or group study. The rooms must be reserved before using. There are study rooms located in the west and southeast sections of the Strauss Library, 2nd Floor. Click here for more information on Study Rooms.

Study Zone

The Study Zone, room 2406, offers study rooms, small open areas, a nap pod room with two nap pods available, and a small kitchen. This space can only be accessed by users with an Anschutz campus ID badge. Located in the north section of the Strauss Library, 2nd Floor.

Print Journals

The bound and current print journals can be found in stacks on the Strauss Library, 2nd Floor.

Meeting Spaces

Conference Room - This conference room is available for campus use and it can be reserved. Located close to the spiral stairs in the south section of the Strauss Library, 2nd Floor. Click here for more information on reserving this conference room. 

Partners in the Library

InWorks is an innovation initiative of the University of Colorado Denver and Anschutz Campuses. The labs at the two locations are filled with state-of-the-art 3D printers, saws, virtual reality headsets, and much more. Click here to access more information about InWorks.

Amenities on the Second Floor

  • Bike Workstation - A stationary bike with a desktop to work on. Located in the west section of the Strauss Library, 2nd Floor.
  • Power Station – A space close to the bike workstation that includes kettle bell weights and a pull-up/push-up station. Located in the west section of the Strauss Library, 2nd Floor.
  • Treadmill Workstation - A walking treadmill station with a desktop to work on. Just inside the door and to the right in the Study Zone in the north section of the Strauss Library, 2nd Floor.
  • Nap Pods – Available in the nap pod room in the Study Zone in the north section of the Strauss Library, 2nd Floor.
  • Kitchen - Includes a fridge, microwave, and Keurig coffee machine located in the Study Zone in the north section of the Strauss Library, 2nd Floor.
