In conjunction with the 2024-2025 One Book One Campus Activities, Strauss Health Sciences Library staff created an exhibit of books exploring the intersection of race and medicine from the Henry and Janet Claman Medical Humanities Collection. Located in the main library entryway, the exhibit showcases works that delve into the history and current discussions on health disparity, medical care for minorities, and racism in medicine and science.
The Claman Medical Humanities Collection, housed in the Special Collections Room on the third floor, offers a rich selection of resources on the humanities - including literature, philosophy, ethics, history, religion, social sciences, anthropology, cultural studies, psychology, and sociology - as well as the arts, such as theater, music, film, and visual arts, all in relation to health sciences education and practice.
Come visit the exhibit and discover the Claman Collection! For more information, please contact Yumin Jiang via email: yumin.jiang@cuanschutz.edu.
