Are you a University of Colorado student interested in having a flexible job on campus? The Strauss Health Sciences Library is currently hiring work-study-eligible students for our Collection Management Student Assistant II position. The position currently pays $17.05 an hour, and applicants must be able to work at least four hours a week.

As a Student Assistant II, you will support library staff and users with routine collection management and maintenance activities, as well as special projects.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Searching for and retrieving records from local, regional, and international library catalogs (e.g., WorldCat) to support acquisitions and collection development activities.
  • Receiving, processing, and preparing library materials as needed for circulation.
  • Assisting with scanning, metadata creation, ingest of files, and other digitization tasks.
  • Assisting with special projects and tasks as assigned.

This position is approved for a maximum of 10 hours a week. We are looking for students with a strong ability to follow directions, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

The Strauss Health Sciences Library is committed to supporting the academic success of our students and will work with your schedule. Scheduled hours are flexible and based on student availability. The library is open Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM.
